This route is an alternative to the Stevenage Horse and Pony Route while the link on the western side of Greasley Way though Chells Park is overgrown. (Reported to SBC on 3 Sep 23.)

This route starts from Lanterns Lane (Stevenage 104 and Aston 32 bridleway) and follows the part of Lanterns Lane that is still a public road, generally south-eastwards to a junction with Long Lane. Follow Long Lane south-eastwards to the junction with Sheafgreen Lane, recorded as Aston 18 bridleway.
