Legal History 1938: The route is shown as a green lane on the Hertfordshire County Council ROW survey. Map St Albans Rural 10. 20 Jun 1953: The route was recorded as CRB (Carriage Road used as a Bridleway) on the original definitive statement. DM sheet DM3-23. 7 May 1970: London Gazette announcement of making The Diversion of Highways (County of Hertford) (No 1) Order 1970 which diverted Sandridge 3 CRB. 31 Dec 1977: The route was shown as a byway on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheet SR-68.

Definitive Statement (4 Dec 2015) Path: [Sandridge] 3.  Status: BOAT.  Definitive Map sheet: 68 Commences from Jersey Farm Lane N of gravel pit thence SW across FP27 to junction with The Ridgeway E of Marshalswick School thence S across The Ridgeway to junction with Pondfield Crescent, opposite No. 22.
