This route starts from Kimpton Road (public road) and continues generally southwards to end on Kimpton 50 and Wheathampstead 8 restricted byway. Legal History 1838: Kimpton 41, 59 and Wheathampstead 19 BW were shown on the Kimpton tithe map as not subject to an apportionment. 1938: The route is shown as Kimpton 22 BW (blue dots) on the Hertfordshire County Council ROW survey. Map Hitchin Rural West 17 (Herts 19 SE).

Maintainability This route is maintainable at the public expense because it was a footpath or bridleway existing before 30 Apr 1959.
