This route starts at the cross roads with Bovingdon Road (public road) and Bovingdon 7 byway. It continues generally northwestwards, changing recorded status from byway to bridleway part way along, before reaching the county boundary and a public road.

We need a volunteer to photograph this route for this year's Access and Riding Rights of Way Survey. It's easy - just take photographs (safely) when you use the path. Find out more!

BHS As part of the British Horse Society's work to record paths before Path Extinguishment Day, evidence was found that showed the section recorded as bridleway was an historic public road. The historical evidence showed a continuous route, so an application was made in 2020 to record the bridleway section as a restricted byway. The route stops short of the Chesham Road because it ends on an unclassified road in Buckinghamshire (which of course is not shown on Hertfordshire County Council's records as it is outside the county).
