Description Project Pages Useful Links
When the British Railways Board was closing railway lines, some were bought by local authorities to use as multi-user non-motorised travel corridors. Although many authorities used a best value approach for the most citizens, i.e. bridleway status, some created cycle tracks.

The railway lines project is about ensuring equestrian access to the disused railway lines in Hertfordshire, where it makes sense to do so.

Ebury Way (Watford to Rickmansworth)

Nickey Line (Harpenden to Hemel Hempstead)

Alban Way (Hatfield to St Albans)

Ayot Greenway (Welwyn Garden City to Wheathampstead)
