Shenley 1 was a longer footpath, part of which is permissive bridleway (to reach the 'behind the hedge' route along London Road) and part is now permanent public bridleway.
The public bridleway section runs from Well End Road for six metres to join the path being created by the diversion and upgrade of the Shenley 3 path. We need a volunteer to photograph this route for the Access and Riding Rights of Way Survey. It's easy - just take photographs (safely) when you use the path. Find out more! |

As part of the Shenley 3 divert and upgrade scheme,
the Patchetts Green Bridleways Trust approached the landowner for a dedication of the short section from the proposed new Shenley 3 junction back to the road. The trust paid the landowner's agent's fees for checking the deed of dedication, and the route became a public bridleway on 29 June 2019. | ||||
