Paths Greenways Bridleways Tracks
PG: OBJECTS: PROMOTION: Little Munden 23 BOAT - Langton's Lane
Map showing recorded Little Munden paths
Annotated map reproduced courtesy of Googlemaps.
This route starts from Little Munden 24 restricted byway and continues generally eastwards to Beggarman's Lane (public road) and Great Munden 39 byway.

We need a volunteer to photograph this route for this year's Access and Riding Rights of Way Survey. It's easy - just take photographs (safely) when you use the path. Find out more!

Legal History
2 Feb 1953: Great Munden 40 was recorded as CRB (Carriage Road used as a Bridleway) on the original definitive statement. DM sheet DM2-09 (Herts 21 NE).
At some point the parish boundary moved, so Great Munden 40 was renamed Little Munden 23.
31 Dec 1977: The whole of Little Munden 23 was shown as a byway open to all traffic on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheets SR-31 (TL32SW) and SR-32 (TL32SE).
26 Jul 2023: The HCC online version of the definitive map shows a small section of Little Munden 23 as restricted byway, but the rest as byway open to all traffic. Enquiries made of HCC as to how this is.
6 Aug 2023: Application to correct the definitive map to reflect the earlier change to BOAT. HCC reference awaited.
