Legal History 1938: The route is shown as Kings Walden 30 BW (blue dots) and Preston 6 BW (blue dots) on the Hertfordshire County Council ROW survey. Maps Hitchin Rural West 11 (Herts 11 SE). 1 Nov 1953: Kings Walden 28 and Preston 6 were recorded as bridleway on the original definitive map and statement. DM sheet DM4-30 (Herts 11 SE). 31 Dec 1977: Kings Walden 28 and Preston 6 were shown as bridleway on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheet SR-20 (TL12NE).

Path: [Preston] 6.  Status: Bridleway.  Definitive Map sheet: 20 Commences from Offley Holes - Charlton Road 100 yards N of Lodge thence SW and S along Eastern Edges of Pinnaclehill Plantation and West Wood to parish boundary at junction with BR28 (Kings Walden) N of Austage Farm.
