This route starts from Hogsdell Lane (public road) and continues as a byway open to all traffic generally northwards along the line of the Roman Road Ermine Street to end at a junction with Hertford Heath 2 FP.

| Legal History 2 Feb 1953: Little Amwell 1 was recorded as CRB (Carriage Road used as a Bridleway) on the original definitive map and statement. DM sheet DM2-23 (Herts 29 SE). 1 Apr 1959: The parish boundary along which the route ran was moved by the County of Hertford Parishes of Brickendon Liberty and Little Amwell Order 1958. 31 Dec 1977: The route was shown as a byway open to all traffic on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheet SR-59 (TL31SW). 1 Apr 1990: The parish of Hertford Heath was created out of Little Amwell and parts of neighbouring parishes. This path's number remained unaltered. |
