Legal History 2 Feb 1953: Benington 1 and Walkern 21 were recorded as bridleways on the original definitive statement. DM sheet DM2-02 (Herts 13 SW). 31 Dec 1977: Benington 1 and Walkern 21 were shown as bridleways on the special review draft map and statement. DM sheets SR-22 (TL22NE) and SR-30 (TL22SE).

Definitive Statement (4 Dec 2015) Path: [Benington] 1.  Status: Bridleway.  Definitive Map sheet: 30 Commences at junction with Walkern - Watton Road S of Cottages thence SW along parish boundary to junction with Walkern 21 BR. Path: [Walkern] 21.  Status: Bridleway.  Definitive Map sheets: 22 and 30 Commences from Benington parish boundary at their BR1 thence SW and NW to join FP20a thence SW to parish boundary and NW along boundary of Chells Green. Statement should record junction with Aston 21 BW and with Aston 4 BW.
